My Hair Transplant
Hi, I’m Ralph.
In 2005, I began considering some kind of treatment for my advancing hair loss. My hair was becoming noticeably thinner and I wanted to do something about it. One day, I made an appointment at a laser hair loss treatment clinic. It took only a few minutes of the consultation for me to figure out that this was sounding way to good to be true. They couldn’t guarantee their results and didn’t have much of a photo gallery of success stories documenting their results. They had glossy brochures and a fairly slick sales pitch, but no substance to back up the claims they were making.
At that point, I gave up on the hope that I could do anything about my hair loss. Then, one day my brother found the Hasson & Wong website and told one of our friends about it. That friend had a consultation and a hair transplant with Hasson & Wong. I monitored the growth of my friend’s hair transplant over
next several months, and was so impressed, I made an appointment with Hasson & Wong to see if they could help me.
The consultation was informative, not pushy. I was made to feel comfortable and we chatted about my options in a relaxed manner. I didn’t feel like I was being sold something. My questions were answered by Dr Hasson and by Doug, a consultant (who was a patient prior to coming to work for the hair transplant clinic).
I was very excited and felt lucky that we had this world-class hair transplant clinic in our back yard. Although patients from all over the world come to Hasson & Wong, I happened to live in the same city. It was a no-brainer. I booked an appointment for surgery.
The hair transplant surgery itself was a piece of cake. If anything, boring. There was no pain other than a slight pinch of needles when the scalp is frozen with a local anaesthetic, much like when a dentist gives you freezing. After that, I laid back, watched movies, listened and even dozed a bit. I even had a choice of menus for lunch (which, of course, the clinic pays for).
Dr Hasson and his technical and office staff made the whole experience easy. I felt like a friend of the family and was made to feel at home.
After the procedure, I was given post-operative instructions and an after-care kit and was on my way to having hair.
In 2 days I was back at work. 10 days after surgery, I had another appointment to have the surgical staples removed and a hair wash and trim. Literally, after that appointment you’re on your way to having a fuller head of hair. Everyone thinks about what people will say, but the reality is, most people didn’t ask anything. They just think you have a short hair cut. Then…the hair starts to grow. In my case, I noticed growth even at the 4 month mark. By 6 months post-op, I’d already had three haircuts, and things just kept getting better. From 8 months to 1 year post-op, I was amazed that the hair was still growing and getting thicker, and even now, at the time of writing this, I notice growth or thickening of the hair. My hair is fuller. I have more hair now than I ever did and I’m thrilled by the results.
If I had to do this all over again, I would, in a heartbeat. It was painless, easy, and it worked! Boy, did it work! I’d recommend a hair transplant with Hasson & Wong any time to anyone who is losing hair and thinking of getting a hair transplant. These guys are the best. Period.
